Services Provided

With over ten years of paediatric experience, I provide an individualised and person- centred approach to my work.

I aim to create a space where speech and language is both accessible and meaningful. This means adapting sessions for individual interests and always aiming to find new ways to be creative!

My three key principles are:

Achievable. Individual. Meaningful

Assessment

The starting point of any intervention is assessment. This identifies your child's strengths and areas of need.

It provides the information required for achievable and meaningful targets.

Targets are always set in collaboration with families/ key teaching staff and sometimes with other professionals. It is really important to be on the same page!

Therapy

Therapy sessions will be tailored to an individual's needs. For some children, it will be through play. For others, it may be through table- top activities. The style of sessions will consider a number of factors, for example, a child's age, attention level and key interests.

I encourage at least one supporting adult to join. This is so the activities and strategies are continued outside the therapy space.

Training Packages

Speech and Language skills develop with a well- matched communication environment. This means skills need to be developed outside the therapy room.

I am passionate about empowering families to have the tools and confidence to use these skills at home. I also enjoy creating training packages for schools and nurseries.
